neither the European colonization of the past served the interest of humanity
nor the neo-colonization of the contemporary times, the so-called
globalization aims to serve the cause of mankind. The main goal of
colonization and neo-colonization remains the same-Western imperialism or Western
hegemony in the world.
Colonization was promoted by the West claiming that it is the white-man’s burden
of civilizing the uncivilized. However, what the uncivilized world experienced was its
exploitation of natural and human resources, which only revealed the cruelty and
inhumanity of the civilized nations. Presently, the West carries the burden of neo-
colonization as a sublime mission for globalization, to let all the nations and cultures
of the world enjoy security, technology and prosperity with mutual cooperation and
mutual responsibility. The great part of humanity is experiencing an indirect
exploitation of natural and human resources by the U.S and its allies with the help of
international financial, trade and political organizations with the unfortunate
collaboration of some indigenous elites-some political leaders and opportunist
intellectuals of the falsely termed undeveloped and developing countries. These elites
can be very well described as ‘sold out commodities, of the cheap market which makes
business of dishonest and corrupt personalities, who generally carry big titles and
hold big positions in the society.
Hence, in this book, it is argued, that the doctrine, ‘Might is Right’ continues from
colonization to globalization. The author provokes the readers to look critically at the
complex and intricate socio-economic and political problems unleashed by the self-
styled globalization. She asserts, that it is very important and imperative for self-less
leaders and sincere intellectuals of all the communities and nations of the world to
check the Western economic and political hegemonization and to stop the promotion
of Western cultural imperialism in the world. She suggests that they should work
together to bring forth a non-hegemonic form of globalization so that all nations and
all communities of the world should enjoy justice, peace, security, technology and
prosperity with mutual cooperation and mutual understanding while maintaining their
own cultural and religious identities. In this connection, she has also presented Islamic
stance for a non-hegemonic form of globalization.
