Dr. Kamilin bin Jamilin is the youngest Member in the Fatwa Council for
both the Federal Territories of Malaysia and the state of Perlis, and is
currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Quranic and
Sunnah Studies, Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM), Nilai,
Negeri Sembilan. He is also the founder of Home Tahfiz DKJ.
Dr Kamilin successfully completed his doctoral studies at USIM in the
field of Hadith Sciences, specialising in al-Jarh & al-Ta’dil (Science of
Criticism and Praise) in 2018. He received the Chancellor’s Award and
Faculty Award (PhD by Research) during USIM’s 16th Convocation
Ceremony, where he also received the Most Popular Staff Award 2018 by
Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies, USIM. Before that, in 2013, he
had completed his Masters degree at King Saud University in Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia, also specialising in the field of Hadith, where he received
the Outstanding Student Award & Outstanding Thesis at Masters Level.
As for his Bachelor’s degree, he is an exceptional graduate from the
Faculty of Hadith and Islamic Sciences, at the Islamic University of
Medina, Saudi Arabia, with first class honours.
He is also active in the da’wah (preaching) and other humanitarian
activities both in and out of Malaysia, and is frequently invited as a guest
speaker in various TV channels such as ASTRO, TV3, TV1, TV ALHIJRAH.
and as a guest panel speaker for a few episodes of the program “Sina’ah
al-Hadith” which was aired by the TV channel al-Majd al-‘Ilmiyyah in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Currently, he is working on producing more
academic books as well as books for leisurely reading.
